Business Mission
In the wake of the pandemic, we witnessed churches facing the challenge of keeping their doors open while experiencing lower attendance, decreased tithing, & government-ordered shutdowns of in-person gatherings. Our purpose is to make the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) refund opportunity simple and accessible for churches & 501(c)(3) nonprofits - enabling them to recapture lost resources & rebuild.
The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a payroll tax refund issued by Congress as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.The refund helps businesses, nonprofits, and churches that continued to pay their employees during the pandemic.
How We serve churches:
1. Simplify and explain the refund process;
2. Determine if a church/nonprofit qualifies for the refund based on their situation during COVID-19;
3. Successfully file for the refund with the IRS, making sure the entity receives the maximum benefit possible;
4. Provide post-claim protection & advance documentation for clients in the unlikely event of an audit.
My Role: Vice President, Founder
01. Strategic Partnerships
Our business is partnered with the professional tax firm Resolute Tax Credits, a Dallas-based entity backed by former Big 4 partners & CPAs, performing filing services & operating at the highest standards.
02. Business & Brand Launch
I created our businesses' brand identity, ad & website collateral alongside integrations between our CRM, team platforms, and backend systems
03. Profit-Sharing Initiative
Church Tax Refund was launched in tandem with a church expansion project for The Grove Community Church in Rowlett, TX. This new building represents an expensive undertaking, costing upwards of $6M in material, construction costs, & more.
To reduce the financial load upon The Grove & investors, a profit-sharing initiative with our business, Church Tax Refund was set in place. 50% of the proceeds from our ERC tax services go towards the building project, while incentivizing churches & nonprofits to choose us over other boutique ERC firms.
